Fact: My back has been lookin’ a hot mess for longer than I’d like to admit, no matter what I do. It’s awful-waffle. I suffer from that awful disease known as “bacne” and it’s SUPER embarrassing. Hello, it’s summer, everything is backless! But I’ve had bacne as long as I can remember; I can control it but it WON’T go away. Ugh, super gnarly. Anyhow, part of the way I’ve learned to keep it calm is using some of the body products from Jan Marini’s Bioglycolic Line (aka Miracle Workers).

In my defense, I was undergoing chemotherapy at the time, and that was one of the side effects. I thought it was total crap – my hair was falling out, my fingernails were turning black, AND my lips were turning into something resembling a scab. Not the best day for a beauty guru, right? My point is: lipcare is something that we tend to never think about until we have to. Sure, a lip balm here and a swipe of lipgloss there, until a snowboarding trip chaps them up to a high heaven. But that’s ALL WRONG.
