So Much Pretty

Valentine’s Day is coming up. Get your makeout on. Or get your Girl’s Night Out on. Either way, you’re goin’ to need some bangin’ lipgloss to set the scene. Here are my faves.

Kick it old school and check out Hard Candy’s Plexi Gloss. It tastes like freakin’ candy, and if you can keep yourself from licking it off, I’m sure your Valentine won’t mind doing so. I’m crazy partial to the Nude shade lately; the lines carries creamy and shimmery shades for buildable color.

Another favorite of mine is Urban Decay’s Pocket Rocket Lipgloss. The colors are true to life, and the gloss is creamy without being sticky and deliciously creme brulee flavored. Definitely a make-out friendly gloss. The glosses each feature a hot man on the cap of the tube – tilt it back and forth to dress and undress him. Yeow. You can also rub the tube to release pheremones into the air and get a leg up on any competition (or make yourself even more irresistable to your main man, or main gal).

Take it one step further and hang with Booty Parlor, who have a couple of options to play with. You can grab one of their Kissaholic Aphrodisiac Infused Plumping Lip Glosses, which I love because it’s not goopy/sticky, they apply with sheer washes of color, and they’re moisturizing. It plumps up your lips by using, get this, Chili Fruit Extract. Talk about “au natural.” I wll say this: apply a generous amount well before making out, ’cause your boy may take the “tingle” as a “sting.” But if you have any experience with lip plumpers, you know that. You can also grab this fab gloss in the “Kissaholic Kissing Kit,” which comes with an aphrodisiac-infused cinnamon breath spray.

If that ain’t your scene, try their “I’m So Sexy” Lipgloss. First off, love the name. Secondly, it comes in 2 shades: Cinnamon Shine, a sheer scarlet with cinnamon flavoring; and Peppermint Pink, which is the one I used. It’s a playful pink with a peppermint tingle that leaves your mouth make-out ready. My Valentine was partial to this one out of all the glosses.

If you love gloss but maybe your lips need some lovin’ and not the sexy kind, (i.e. aren’t gloss-ready), try Miss Oops Pucker Protector, a lipbalm that’s also a lipgloss. And that’s not just a CLAIM, it’s actually FORREALS. It’s got a minty scent and it totally soothes and revives your lips while also giving them a glossy glow. I’d totally recommend this for all you low-maintenance gals out there.
