Hi my name is Jessica Devereaux. I'm a young writer and lifestyle enthusiast based in Los Angeles, CA. I created this blog in November 2014 as a way to inspire readers through fashion, beauty, interior design, food and all of life's little pleasures.
Thanks for stopping by.
This Rose Raspberries Saint-Honoré was almost too pretty to eat.
Ladurée opened it’s first West Coast location at the Grove December of last year. I had previously only visited to pick up small decorative boxes of their rose-flavored macrons (my favorite), but today I came with a friend to check out their lunch offerings.
I tried their lobster rolls and Rose Raspberries Saint-Honoré pastry for dessert and was very impressed. The food was so sweetly presented on the pastel-colored plates and the flavors left my taste buds begging for seconds.
I’ve always been a sceptic of New Years Resolutions. They rarely work. Those that make it a goal to get fit in 2015 usually just crowd gyms for the first couple months than just miraculously fall off the face of the planet.
Me on the other hand, I prefer not to set myself up for failure. I like to make goal-setting a year-round thing and for new years? Rather than setting a strict resolution, I prefer to make it a plan to learn something new in the new year. It doesn’t have to be a big, lofty accomplishment…just something that I know will bring me enjoyment.
So this year my New Year’s activity is to learn a new sport…Tennis!
In preparation for this, I signed up for Tennis lessons through my place of employment (pretty cool…right?) and a bought a new tennis racket (of course it’s pink).
My co-worker and I were assigned the task of planning our office’s year-end Holiday party. As a result of our shared fondness for the late 1950’s – early 1960’s we decided to throw a Mad Men holiday soiree. Here are some of the photos from the event.
And ash tray filled with candy cigarettes is only fitting.

There’s nothing better than a well-dressed coffee table. Add a bouquet of fresh flowers or a single orchid, some home fragrances and a coffee table book (or two) for the perfect arrangement that will make any guest feel right at home.
