Kick-Ass Product Review: Ain’t Misbehavin’ Sulfur Acne Mask by DERMADoctor

And I should, because I work extremely hard to keep it glowing, smooth, and acne free. So I’m going to let you in on one of my skincare secrets: SULFUR.

June 4th is National Doughnut Day!

Let’s get something straight here: I love donuts. I have a secret inner-fat kid and a not-so-secret outer fat kid that would straight up maul a baby for a double-chocolate with nuts donut. So as you may or may not but definitely should know, tomorrow is NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY. And I’ve compiled a list of calorie-laden and calorie-free ways that you and I can celebrate. Read more »

Shoe Frenzy Friday: Michael Antonio (via ShoeDazzle)

These saucy Michael Antonio sandals are my March selection from ShoeDazzle. I will actually be doing a separate post on ShoeDazzle and whether or not it’s worth the $40/month, but right now, we’re concentrating on… SHOES, my favorite 5-letter word ever.

Where I’ve Been, Where I’m Going

Hi Dolls!

I realise I’ve been MIA for the better part of 2 months now – it flew by without my even noticing it! I had to take a break from blogging because, first of all: it had ceased to be fun. Secondly, I had stretched myself too thin, and I needed to take a break to figure what I wanted from this, what I was getting, and to handle some personal issues in my life.

In the last 2 months, I’ve: moved, moved again, interviewed for countless jobs, freaked out as my dog was attacked by a pitbull (he’s okay now!), turned 25, got a new laptop, lost a few friends, made a lot more new friends, gone back to school, given up red meat, tried to give up dairy (failed), starting going to the gym again, laughed, cried, and had a lot of time to rest and restore.

So now, I’m back! Hooray! I will officially be back Monday, and I’ve got all kinds of great posts, fun giveaways, and new features that I hope will make you as excited as I am – and yes, I am excited to be blogging again.

So check back Monday for an awesome summer kick-off giveaway, more insight on my other project the Fashion Frontline, and whole lotta fun!

Beauty Breakthrough: Anti-Acne…. Haircare?!

So, I came across a super interesting innovation when I was sending out inquiries for bacne products (ugh, I know, I’ll get to that post later this week). You see, even though I don’t experience acne too much on my gorgeous, clear, flawless face, I suffer from bacne (back acne) that makes me want to vom. I didn’t ever think, “Hey, maybe the lather running down my back from washing my hair might be causing acne,” because really, who WOULD that occur to?!

Review: Kings & Queens Bodycare

Kings & Queens is a fairly new range of bodycare products by Korres; developed around and inspired by the herbs and spices favored by Kings and Queens of a bygone era.

All products are free of mineral oil and parabens, and contain a Royal Cocktail of pomegranate, blue Egyptian lotus, and malachite extracts, as well as hazelnut, grape, sunflower, and avocado oils. Yep, that’s a lot of awesomeness. Or royalness, rather. Anyhow, the line features Showergels, Body Milks, Body Butters, and Shimmering Body Milks. I got to try the Shower Gel and the Body Butter, and absolutely loved both. The body butter also came in a tube, which I liked, didn’t have to dip my hands into a tub, which somehow never works for me since I end up with way too much. Read more »

LAFW 2.0

A couple of weeks ago I attended the blogger event of the season, the LAFW 2.0 Party, a blogger’s party thrown by bloggers to kick off Los Angeles Fashion Week. I was pretty stoked to hear about this event since there are so few for fashion and beauty bloggers, specifically.

Sandra D from Debutant, Jessica from Happy Hour Tour, and Myself

I arrived rather later in the evening (I had two events to attend beforehand) so I missed a ton of bloggers; luckily there’s talk of a summer event where I’ll hopefully get to meet everyone, and not be so tired! That being said, I met slew of bloggers and internet personalities I had been following on Twitter for awhile, including Racked LA, Valerie from Society Stylist, Victoria of Victoria Berry PR (who lives around the block from me! Small world!), Ami from Fete LA and LA Pretty, and Sasha from LA Inspiration.

I’m super excited to see these gals around town more often and make a strong blogging community in Los Angeles. For more photos, please check out Sasha’s post or the Flickr pool!
